About Me
My Childhood
My first crush was on Curious George, I wanted to be Nancy Drew and I would have given anything to tesseract with Meg Murry! As the second of 5 daughters I could deeply relate to Laura Ingalls Wilder, Jo March and Elizabeth Bennet!
My Career
For decades, I spent my days laughing, learning and sharing my love of storytelling with children, who in turn inspired me to create even more stories of my own. I've been honored as a California Teacher of the Year, an Outstanding Young Californian, and an Educational Ambassador to Japan. Now, I plan to do what I've always dreamed of—share my stories with even more kids!
Other Fun Facts
I also have a degree in Theatre. Along with my husband I act, direct and choreograph both kids and adults at our local community and regional theatres. I often choose shows that could be called wacky, zany or madcap, but my favorite role was playing Annie Sullivan in the Miracle Worker. Stories change us!
